Read: 1 Corinthians 15:1-8, 14.
Now I would remind you, brothers, of the gospel I preached to you, which you received, in which you stand, and by which you are being saved, if you hold fast to the word I preached to you—unless you believed in vain.
For I delivered to you as of first importance what I also received: that Christ died for our sins in accordance with the Scriptures, that he was buried, that he was raised on the third day in accordance with the Scriptures, and that he appeared to Cephas, then to the twelve. Then he appeared to more than five hundred brothers at one time, most of whom are still alive, though some have fallen asleep. Then he appeared to James, then to all the apostles. Last of all, as to one untimely born, he appeared also to me.....And if Christ has not been raised, then our preaching is in vain and your faith is in vain.

O: We find that the most important thing we take away from this is that Christ died for our sins!! And it happened just the way it said it would. It was foretold even back into the Old Testament!
BUT, had the events not happened and Christ didn't ascend into Heaven, then everything we have been told, everything we believe, we be for naught. It is by His death and glorious resurrection that we have HOPE!
A: I, for one, that Jesus gave His life for me. Without faith, without God, Jesus, the Holy Spirit, there would be no hope in life. Nothing we could put our full trust in. Imagine what an empty world it would be.
I can show my respect and love for Jesus by doing things as He would expect. I need to keep my words and actions to what Jesus would expect of me. To do things as if He were right next to me, watching my every move.
P: Dear Lord Jesus, I am so glad to know that You love me so much! Your death, Your blood wiped away my sins. You love those who are unlovable. You love those who are broken. You love us just the way we are, sins and all. Forgive me of my sins, of anything that may not be OF You. Help me to be more like You in my words and actions. In Your Holy Name I pray. Amen
